Project Life, Week 37, 2018
journaling:
In comparison to most, it’s been a pretty quiet week! I don’t know why Preston was posing with a sheriff’s car, but I had to find this photo of me at the same age! In 1958 I was just turning four, too, and if we don’t have the same smile .... wow!
The evenings are getting a little cooler and I couldn’t resist making the first fire of the Fall even though it isn’t officially “Fall” yet. I’vy’s not sure what to think, but she didn’t want to get too close. She really looks pretty by fire light.
We’re getting ready for company, our daughter Sarah is coming to visit next week! She lives in Phoenix and can only stay three days, but it’s been two years since we’ve been able to hug on her. This mom is pretty excited, and I know that her dad is, too.
We \wasted/ spent the entire week waiting for guys to come blow insultation into our attic. They cancelled/rescheduled four days in a row before finally showing up on Saturday. Grrr. Not the best way to do business!
While we were waiting, I took Ivy up to the church while I filed music. She charmed everyone who was there working in our food pantry, but also managed to burst a giant playball that belonged to the youth group. I bought another one and “Ivy” wrote a note of apology to them. I left it there that night before they met.
