Tuesday Challenge 1/1/19 One Word: Step

I tried my first “real” outside walk without a crutch on New Years day and focusing "step-step-step" reminded me of wise words said to me seven years ago while waiting for major serious surgery. I said I’m doing all the “right” things and nothing makes me feel “better” (not anxious). She answered, you’re right, nothing will make you feel “better”; you just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other, until you get to the other side.
My past few years have been challenging and focusing on step-step-step now I thought - keep going, even when it’s tough... Until you get to the other side. A good reminder!   The photo is me walking in my crazy fuzzy leggings and Christmas socks -- and my shadow is big in the background!
Journaling reads:
When life feels overwhelming and nothing can make it better at that moment, just “keep putting one foot in front of the other until you get to the other side”.... Step, step, step.... Keep stepping. Step, step, step... Hear it in your head; step, step, step........."
For this layout I used:
SNU SS DLO Templates: What’s Your Word
DBH Melancholy Collection
SNU SS Styles: Shadow Me
and my own photos

Amazing page and so inspirational. One step at a time can go so many ways to encourage so many people in so many ways. Great photo, too.

You have created one terrific inspiring page. It all looks so well put together and thought through as you created it. Thankyou for sharing the extra information. I hope those one steps become lots of free of pain steps.

Well, that's what I needed to hear! Love all the varieties of the word and your circle journaling.

  • So glad it resonated to you.  I’ve told it to many whom it was meaningful.  Just keep stepping Barbara!  :walkinghelmet:
