Butterfly Dsign: Value Pack: Winter’s Freeze

On a Whimsical Adventure: ScrapSimple Digital Layout Templates: Whimsical Templates

On December 12, 2010, below zero temperatures combined with 25-40 mph winds to create -35°F to -40°F (-37°C to -40°C) wind chills. As we attacked a 36-inch drift at the base of our driveway armed only with shovels, I discovered the wind had actually frozen one of Harry’s tears onto his eyelashes. A kind neighbor saved the day by clearing the rest of our driveway with his huge snowblower.

Note: Tears can freeze at -35°F to -40°F (-37°C to -40°C) wind chills because your cheeks starts to freeze at those temperatures. It is dangerously cold.

Whoa, that’s an amazing shot and I’ve been in -15 windchill and it’s miserable and dangerous - that’s so much colder!   Your photos and OOB work are awesome and thanks for adding the journaling here, I was trying to read it in the NL and couldn’t.    Great page, Sue!

I love this page...super great photos. It sure looks cold,I do not miss the cold one bit. That eye pic is so amazing it really shows the cold. I lived in New England and we had cold and snow, your yardstick   pic reminds me that I kept one by the door all winter to measure the snow.

I am loving being in Florida for the winters....just sayin.

Great page Sue, love the directional placing of the stitches you used. Look at all that snow and the image of 'the frozen teardrop' a good reminder of how cold it was brrrr.

WOW! Great LO. Love the snowblower showering the page, but the frozen tear is the showstopper. I'm ready to move on to spring and tulips and daffodils and sun shining on trees blooming and leafing out ...... but I digress. Very well done!
