Mimosas

This layout's original version has bridesmaids and bride on the wedding day morning, sipping Mimosas. However, I didn't feel comfortable posting their images publicly, so instead I substituted a stock photo.

I get it!  I’ve actually blurred out faces but I like your idea better!   Your background is so pretty and I can picture them all sipping those Mimosas.  :)

MariJ, I am glad to hear you do this, too. I've blocked faces in flesh tones for some vacation pages with extended family, and I feel I will want to include some of the true wedding images at some point. What is your opinion on how gallery-surfers feel about the blurred faces? Do they hate it? Don't mind it? This LO worked okay without actual people, but most wedding party LOs probably won't. I am working on getting some permissions but the girls are spread to all corners of the country and most of the guys are in the military, so my hopes aren't high to actually get permissions from them.

Love this LO. Super colors and they are so much fun for wedding day.

Thanks Boatlady! I made actual solid color pages from the 6 shades that were prevalent in the wedding. This overlay was filled with the color of the berries from my daughter's wedding bouquet, and then the opacity was reduced. I thought it turned out pretty nifty.

I love how you combined different collections and designers to make your fabulous background.

Thanks Florida granny! You will eventually notice that I combine all the time. I almost never use fewer than four collections and I can't think of a  single layout I've done featuring only one. Someday, I'm sure I will, though. Lol.

So sorry I forgot to answer this - I saw it when I wasn’t home and just remembered again now.   I’ve only truly blurred out a face once because it was a photo of a little cousin and her friend who I didn’t know;  I’m not sure how others reacted to that.  I know I’m not happy with how a page looks when I post it that way so I think I normally avoid posting those kinds of photos if I can - especially of children unless I’ve asked their parents.   For adults, if they are non-essential and not very noticeable in a large crowd background I don’t mind posting.  My thoughts are if you can get permission that’s great, or maybe ask the Bride herself what she thinks?   In most cases the faces will be smaill if it’s a large group so it shouldn’t be a large issue; but that’s my opinion and not any “official” answer!  In a wedding party photo you can also duplicate the photo and blend it into the first photo so it’s light.   Then erase the bride and groom back in so you can see them well.  You can delete that layer when using it for your own purpose.  I hope this helps and I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer!

Thanks for the tip on "fading" MariJ! And for taking the time to consider and answer my question!
