WEDDED BLISS - I love these photos of my grandparents’ wedding, 16 June 1918 in Hugoton, Stevens, Kansas. Granddad was shorter than Grandmother. In the photo to the left, he is standing on a rail to appear taller than her. And in the photo below, my great aunt, Gertrude, who is dressed in white, is holding on to Granddad so she appears to be his bride. Whereas, Grandmother, who is to his right, looks like she has just realized what she has done and what lies ahead and she is a bit petrified! On, the stories photos tell - if you have an imagination!
