Sunday Morning Perfection

Wallace Stevens' "Sunday Morning" has always meant a lot to me and my husband; he had asked me to take notes since he was missing the lecture when Stevens' works, particularly this 8-stanza poem, were discussed in our Am Lit class. It was the beginning of our "courtship," 34 years ago now.

Thanks Boatlady and MariJ. I was hoping to get an image that evoked the ambiance of the poem. Whenever I read it, I feel like I am sitting in a sun room on a lush spring day looking over a garden, contemplating life while drinking my morning coffee.

What an amazing LO. The journaling is amazing and love all the layers. Very well done. This needs yo be printed and framed.

How amazing. I love the image you used and that poem is magnificent. I think blending in the image of the author is an amazing touch. Thanks for participating in the challenge.

I am contemplating exactly that for DH's birthday next month!

Thanks, beatricemi! I hope you had the opportunity to look at the last five stanzas on the Internet. It truly is a beautiful poem, and just gets deeper and more contemplative as it goes along.
