As soon as you said flag I thought of this picture. Our son ready to drive in the demolition derby last year. The theme was "flag" His wife and I painted the car and we got a trophy for best looking car, he got one for driving. LOL... coincidentally his arm is in the billboard ad for his business.

I used EBA_Chesapeake and my own mask

I love this page -- and given I am a huge dirt-track fan, love the subject!  Congrats to you and daughter-i-law for doing a wonderful job on the car!  The blending is fantastic and for a stock fan I love the grungy look - it's so like a race-track!  I don't know the font but it goes so well with the page!
