I never would have used all those beads in paper scrapping because of the mess and tedious work!! That is a treasured photo for sure and your layout beautifully showcases it.

Love the photo and it goes so wonderfully with the background.  Like you, I would have spent hours gluing down each of the beads!  Love the ri-rac as well.
