Journaling: I love the twinkle in my great-great aunt’s eyes. It makes me wish I had known her. Her sister, my great grandma Wilhelmina Link (Minnie), had a hard life, being divorced at a time when that was unusual. She raised her many children deep in the north woods in a 2-bedroom log cabin with no electricity or running water. In photos of Minnie, I don’t see the same twinkle in her eyes. I can guess why. It would be interesting to hear these sisters’ different life stories.
