Journaling: In 2015, our family shared our Christmas tradition of making gingerbread cookies with my sister’s family. Gathering at my sister’s home, we had lemon butter frosting, M&M’s, chocolate chips, red hots, colored sugars, gum drops, other candies and dozens of gingerbread cookies. Each person had his or her own decorating style. Some spread on frosting with a knife and finished lots of cookies quickly. Others piped on frosting and carefully added small candies to create elaborate creations. In the end, everyone had fun producing beautiful, tasty cookies.
