Project Life, Week 41, 2019
journaling:
My big adventure this week was Monday’s surgery to repair my thumb that won’t bend. It took all morning -most of it spent waiting- but the actual surgery was only about 5 minutes long. They put me under, but no ill side effects. I was home by around 1:30 pm with good pain killers for bedtime if I need them. I go back on the 18th to get my stitches
out. I had no idea where the incision would be, but it’s right in the crease of my thumb.
I think of my Granny Kesler when I keep political cartoons. She had a huge paper scrap book full of newspaper clippings and cartoons that I loved to look through.
I never really cared for Jimmy Carter when he was President, but as I get older I have come to realize and appreciate the things he did and is STILL doing.
