Oh, Jane this is amazing and your photos and journaling so graphically tell part of the awful story that is Autralian fires now.   Your background is amazing and so is your title.  Awesome work on documenting this event.  

Wow, what a story and collection of photos!!! Years ago we were in the Chesapeake Bay Maryland and the smoke from wildfires in Canada made it so that we could not see and had to put the radar on the boat to navigate the bay. Smoke travels so far it's amazing. Super job documenting this event

The photos are quite eerie. You did a masterful job documenting the tragedy and its impact on your home.

Thanks for sharing this.  How unsettling this must be to watch.  Wonderful work with the background sky effect.  Hopefully the recent rains they had there has made a positive difference.
