Instead of doing a layout about my mom I decided to create my layout around a morning we spent together. After she passed away I was given 10 large storage totes with photos in them. These are three of the photos she took that morning on the beach with me.

WOW. This brings tears to my eyes. The photos are amazing and your journaling is so special. I love the faded photo in the background and your wonderful framed photos showing the sun rising. This is just super.

I don't know why I didn't see this one before, but it is absolutely beautiful in every way. Your lovely journaling brought tears to my eye. You mother must have been a very special person... as are you. Thanks for sharing. This made my day.

I love this layout, Linda.  Beautiful journaling, and the photos are gorgeous, too.

Thank you Mikelle...after listening to you, Debby, Marilyn and Diane I thought of trying to do a serious journaling layout. I appreciate all the kind thoughts about "Sunrise."

Thanks for your responses, Linda. And I forgot to say "Congratulations" on your being the challenge winner. Obviously, well-deserved!

Wow, a winner for sure in so many ways.   I have such trouble with journaling but you aced it with this one.  Your story is so beautiful and your words are so special.  I really enjoyed reading about this touching moment with your Mom and I’m so glad you were able to create a scrapbook page about it; what a wonderful memory to recreate each time you see a sunrise.  I like how you added gorgeous sunrise photos to your page and softly blended one as your background.   Thanks for sharing this.
