This sounds seriously delicious. Your recipe card is a work of art, too. I love the red and white check pattern and those apples and the rolling pin title and just everything.

Thanks @Florida granny @SodScrap@alsoarty @MariJ ! You'll notice that there aren't measurements for the apple, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Since it was taught by hand-me-down, we have all just learned by watching and then making it ourselves. You know, a pinch here and a pinch there. Essentially, spread the butter over the entire surface of the dough, then sprinkle liberally with brown sugar, add a single layer of cut apples and then shake some cinnamon over it all. Then roll!

Those "pinch here" "sprinkle there" are some of the best recipes! :)

I was going to say the same thing.  So many of my recipes are this way.  You can just "see" what's right sometimes!

So true about those “pinch here” etc recipes. And since we’re doing Mom’s favorites this month I’m finding a lot of them written that way, one of which I’m working on now.  One of my aunts once sat with my Grandma while she made some old-time family favorites and as Grandma used an ingredient, aunt would measure it and then wrote it into a recipe.   So, now we have a few of those recipes we otherwise wouldn’t.
