Usually the best time to view a waterfall is when lots of water is flowing, but for us, visiting Glen Avon Falls when the water was very low was perfect. This waterfall is really a series of small cascades, with the largest drop being only 10 feet. Less water meant that instead of water gushing in streamlets all over the river bed, only the major channels were partially full, so we could easily walk along the river as it flowed down to a small pond. The big hit of the day was trying to catch crayfish in the pond. Eden and Elliot were fascinated by the crusty little creatures, but I think the big kids had lots of fun, too. 7/28/20
