What a dramatic photo alteration! I like your journaling. We've had trouble with some roses as well and Sunday I was at the plant nursery to replace our climbing rose. The locally-owned nursery was selling roses designated for hardiness zones 6-9 and I live on the border of zones 4 and 5. I was a little irritated they were attempting to sell something that had no hope of making it through one of our winters. Told them so, too. I know you are quite a bit north, so I can't imagine the trouble roses must give you.

I love what you did with the photo, allowing the subtle light color of the flower to come through.  The black and white looks nice against the leaf-green background paper, and I love your cluster!
