Sleepy Baby

Hi,

This is my first layout I've done following the brushes workshop book. I've tried to play around a bit with the blending modes and layer masks, so it's more of an experimental layout than anything else.

Great job! I love the green from the frog paired with the black and white. I love the edges of the photo, too.

I like it ! It's not 'baby-cute' (although your baby is very cute!) , but it works, thanks to the green frog and the other green elements. Different, yet very nice !

You did such a great job!!! You chose great elements and papers and techniques that made the layout special, yet kept the baby as the first and main focal point!

I love how you pulled out the color of the frog. I have the brushes book too but haven't gotten very far in it. You have inspired me to do more with it! Nice work!

Oops! Forgot to credit the supplies. The background paper is a freebie from Shabby Princess (Kiwi), the brushes are LCO grunge brushes 1 and LCO circles from Scrap Girls and I think the font was font diner.

I like how the soft edges around the baby contrast with the straight lines and how the b&w is not babyish, but it all works together. The circles are a good counterpoint to the lines.

Oh, I love that bright green to match the frog! I also LOVE that circle brush. Good job on the edges of your picture too. :)
