"In the early days of the pandemic I taught myself how to sew cloth facemasks, since masks were scarce, backordered online because the medical community needed them in the hospitals.  Learning to sew masks forced me to learn how to use a sewing machine, which has opened up a new world of crafting for me!  Over the summer Karlie took a weeklong beginner's sewing class for kids, during which she learned to make pillowcases and pajama pants. Her pillow case looked so cool that I decided to try my hand at it.  I found a You Tube tutorial that was easy to follow, and this is the result so far: Ghost/pumpkin cases for Bill and me, and Beetlejuice cases for the kids.  I'm sure I'll move on to Christmas pillow cases soon - guess we know what everyone will get from me for Christmas this year!"

Your pillowcases look great and how nice you were able to learn a new craft.    Your photos are awesome and I really like how you stitched the top one to your page.   I enjoyed your journaling, too!

You sure did a great job on your sewing projects! I think your Christmas giftees are going to love the ones you make for them, too. :) I like the ghosts on your page and the colorful flowers you added.

I love your pillow cases and can't wait to see your Christmas ones. Lovely colourful layout. I think a lot of people learned new skills during covid to help them cope and also as a means of income.
