John Constable R.A
Was born in East Bergholt on the Essex/Suffolk border in the late 18th century. John’s father was a prosperous mill owner and Willy Lott farmed the land adjacent to the mill.Constable went to London and became a successful artist, specialising in the rural landscape of his home county. Willy Lott’s Cottage features in many of his most famous paintings, including The Haywain (inset, top).

Your journaling is so interesting and your photos (& those paintings) are really lovely.  I like your masking and framing and your cluster is perfect - so pretty without overwhelming.   Your title is really elegant.

This is so cool! I love that you were able to get a photo from the same perspective as shown in  Constable's painting. Lovely framing with just the right touch of embellishment, and I like the olde English font, too.
