Jane, this is so "cool" and what a fabulous job you did scrapping your idea!   So many parts to like to this layout, your background and brushed palm trees, sand at the bottom, the scribbles adding hot energy, the popsicles in the middle and the colorful arrows that draw us into your scene.  We're having dangerously below freezing weather today, your hot scene warms me up!.

PS I really like your font with the white on the edges and I'm wondering what it is or if it's all word art?

Great fonts and brush work on this funny page! I could use some of that weather right now. This morning when I let the dog out, it was -6F, which is -21C in your part of the world.

Ha ha, a frozen treat is a good idea for this challenge, for those of you languishing in hot weather right now!  I love the pretty, translucent but bright colors, and the blending of your background.

Ah how clever of you, cool take on the challenge. Your color choices are bright and cheery. Your word art is perfect with the hot/cold colors. Lovely beach vignette you created!

So creative! The bright colors are perfect. The blending of the foliage and the arrrows and the bokah spots are all so nicely done pulling everything together. Excellent work! I can feel the warm temperature on the beach and the cold popsicle right now!
