Your journaling and "book/reading" story is so touching Anne Marie and it made me tear thinking of how good people can be.   How nice to let you into the shop to pick not only necessities, but books, too - a necessity of the soul.   I really like the font you used and your page is really pretty.

It must have been so sad for you to lose your Bibles, but hopefully you can restore your Kindle books. Your card is pretty and solemn. Great use of the book page.

Anne-Marie, your journaling touched my heart. I was saddened to read what you lost, how heartbreaking. Then to read of the generosity of the shop owner was heart warming. Your page is simple but elegant.  Continued prayers as you try to rebuild your life. ♥️

I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you to have to choose what to take and what to leave behind when you evacuated. And you lost so much! It's just awful. I remember when Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey shore, my daughter-in-law's parents thought putting things on top of the dining room table would keep them safe. It didn't, as the water reached much higher.
Your journaling is touching and your page is lovely. I'm glad that you have kind friends to help you through all this.

I put things on my craft work station thinking they would be safe but it all fell over so nothing on it was saved - some of my paper scrapbooks.

This is really terrible. Some of those things have special memories. I'm glad that everything is starting to improve. Still a long way to go. I'm so glad that people are supporting each other.

I like how you shared this part of your journey.  It will definitely be a treasure to look back on as time passes.  I like the way you used the book for your story and the background is soft and subtle.
