Tuesday Challenge 5/10/22: Mom - Catskills

Journaling reads:
"My Mom always talked about visiting relatives in the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York as a child with her aunts and Mom. They took trains and then walked up deep into the mountain. She spoke fondly of these times and of the beautiful Mountain Laurel flowers that grew in abundance in this very rural area. In this photo she is about ten years old and holding them! I did not think of my Mom as an “outdoors girl”, but I know she had a great appreciation of nature’s beauty which I suspect came from her time in the mountains and she passed along this love to my sister and me."
For this layout I used:
BMU SS Background Blenders 4
SNU SS Styles Shadow Me
AFT Tender Spring
ABR A Million Little Things
KVE SS Styles Starburst White
AHA Heirloom Chic

What a great photo and journaling Marilyn. I love the vintage look of the layout. Such a lovely layout.

This is beautiful, Marilyn - both the journaling and the layout. I really like how you explained the influence your mother had on you and your love of nature. This LO evokes a dreamy day, with the mask blending and the haze of color.

What a great picture of your mom. The haze on the right side of the page looks like some of my old box camera pictures that had light leak fog. Really adds to the feel of the times. Liked reading your story.

Absolutely beautiful. The photo is wonderful and the story behind it is something so dear to hold onto. The blending you did makes this very ethereal.
