englishrose Posted May 19, 2022 I can definitely relate to this dilemma Marilyn. Your journaling is so heartfelt! Quote Link to comment
Celestine Posted May 19, 2022 I can relate to this soooo much, Marilyn. I am now the keeper of generations of family items. I despair that these family pieces will hold no value to my kids. The memories are especially precious. Quote Link to comment
Jane in N.Z Posted May 19, 2022 I can so relate to this when we were downsizing. Love your BG it just shows the turmoil your in deciding what to keep and what to give away. Quote Link to comment
Florida granny Posted May 19, 2022 I can relate to this, too. It's tough to get rid of things that were important to loved ones and hold so many memories. I like the art journal style of your page and especially the swirls that show your confusion. I also like the bright colors against the black and white. Terrific page! Quote Link to comment
mimes1 Posted May 20, 2022 Yep, I am one to agree with everyone above. The energy in your page has just enough tension that the viewer can feel your angst. Perfectly done. One day I'll tell you about the 12 giant plastic boxes of kids artwork that I had to go through before we moved. 1 Quote Link to comment
Belle Posted May 20, 2022 We have decided to move into the small granny flat and let Janelle move into the house. We have got so much stuff. I love how you journaled this. Love the art journal background. Quote Link to comment
Boatlady Posted May 20, 2022 yup- downsizing is hard to do. I think"if I do it now the kids won't have to" cause you know they don't want our junk!!! Super page. Quote Link to comment
ladyscrapalot Posted May 20, 2022 Your have scrapped your feelings and dilema so brillantly. The use of the swirls and scribbles and all the different words really conveys what you must be feeling. Perhaps you take photos of some of the things that feel really special to you. But that's easy for me to say as I was fortunate that I didn't have to do this for my parent. Quote Link to comment
SodScrap Posted May 21, 2022 Ohhh...come to my house an help me!! Definitely hard decisions to make. I like the graphic background and the all the swirls. Very well done. Quote Link to comment
