This is a photo of my Mom's well-used actual recipe card;  she made this a lot and I remember liking it.  She's written "Bob" in the corner who was my Dad - and I recall the recipe was originally his Mom's, my grandmother's.
For this recipe card I used:
BMU Shabby Bakery Collection Biggie
SNU SS Styles: Shadow Me
VJS SS Styles Photo Filters - Colorize
EBA SS Styles: ATC Shadows

I just signed on and saw your Mom's recipe. Yum! Great recipe for a great cake. I love that you used her card with the stains and all. I also like the tea cups :) and wooden spoon with the heart.

Those tea cups are adorable! My great aunt used to always make a pound cake or bundt cake for her bridge club, and this really reminded me of that. I have never cooked with mace, so this would be interesting to try!

I'm with Celestine, I have never used mace.  I love that you were able to include that actual recipe card!  Your embellishments are perfect for this card!  I like the buttons anchoring the card along with the teacups.

Funny when I showed this recipe to my sister she said, "What's mace?"   I looked up the spice and it's related to nutmeg - which I love.  So it's no wonder I liked this cake.

"Mace is a yellowish-brown spice  that is derived from the dried lacy coating of the nutmeg seed."
