Journaling-The 95 mile drive from Alamosa to the 4- Corners took us from lush irrigated farm fields to the desert land that was flanked by mountains allot of the time. Most of road was in good shape. We saw some wild horses, plateau’s and canyons. We has to drive into NM to get to the entrance, The Four Corners Monument is located off US Highway 160. The area surrounding the monument is Native American land, which includes part of New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona and covers some 25,000 square miles. Both the Navajo, or Dine, and Ute people live in the Four Corners area. Artisans and craftsmen from both Indian nations are represented at the monument. We did some gift shopping for friends and family. Love the native tallents
