Simple Man is the song we are contemplating for the mother-son dance for my son's upcoming wedding. I introduced my son to the great genre of classic rock, and he requested that we find a song representing our shared love of this music.

This is absolutely beautiful, Celestine! This song would be a wonderful song for a mother/son dance. I love the sepia and blending of your photo. I also love the placement of the music staff so it appears as your son is sitting on it. I also like the triangles mimicing the mountains and the added vines as well as the title work.

Thank you, I was pleased with how it turned out since I truly do find this style of scrapping a challenge for me. Thank you for offering art journaling as a challenge idea - it was a great opportunity for me to practice this method.

Wow! This is just beautiful. It actually brought tears to my eyes. You stepped outside your comfort zone of scrapping and the result is brilliant. I love the vines, especially, and how the music notes seem to flow through them. That's a great photo, too.

I love these lyrics.  This is the perfect message from a mother to her son.  Your photo is beautiful and I love how you did your title.  The way the musical notes frame the bottom of the layout is a really nice touch. My adult "kids" grew up on our classic rock.  So glad we can share our taste in music.

Gorgeous page and so special when you talk about your shared loved of classic rock.  Your blending is wonderful and I like the way you used the lyrics as journaling and the pieces you added.  Your title looks so cool.
