A good friend used to make this every year at Christmas time and would give me a nice-sized piece to enjoy. Yum!! Way too much trouble to make for my lazy hands, but very delicious. I love your photos and seeing the recipe written out. Mostly I like the glitter!

It is a lot of work! I don't make it, but my husband the pie baker makes it every Christmas because it is one of his all-time favorites. He learned when my Grandma just couldn't do it anymore.

Would your husband like to spend Christmas in Florida by any chance? :D

:snow_laugh: That would be a big no, because he is busy baking all the pecan, pumpkin and whatever other kind of pies we need! He seriously makes a LOT of pies between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We take them everywhere. He never complains and finds it relaxing (?!?!). ☺️

I remember the "Pie Man" and wow, these are  gorgeous and a real treat.  I love how you used the actual recipe and included photos, that's gorgeous and looks so yummy!   I've ordered a "Povitica" online and they very much look much like this.   I really like the background and colors you used, so pretty!

I adore this kit by Cherry Kaye. The colors are kind of non-traditional with the ivory, beige, brown and wine red, but it can be elegant or whimsical. I seriously use it a lot just for the ombré glitter papers.

Those are very pretty.   I like Brandy's "Holiday Magic" for the same reason - that it's non-traditional colors.   And, normally my preference is the traditional red and green for Christmas!
