A Kiss

This was my first adventure into digital scrapbooking. I probably shouldn't have started with my brother's wedding, but I was excited to play with the photo.

I took the photo and enlarged it to fit the space (stretched it out a bit actually). I changed the opacity and added a bit of blur to the background. Then I brought in the actual photo (cropped a bit) and added the white border around it (I believe it was a 2 "stroke"). I used a scraggly brush to erase the edges of the paper. Then I spent way too much time looking for the perfect quote. The font is Zapfino. I added drop shadows on the elements and called it done. More than anyone wanted to know. :)

I used PS CS2 on a lovely iMac.

I think you have accomplished a most wonderfully, romanticly, gorgoeous page for your first layout. Fantastic job.

Wow, this is amazing! Love how you did this and I may just scraplift the idea if you don't mind! The quote and font are great, as is the pic. I love how you enlarged it as the background. If this is your first digi-scrapping attempt, can't wait to see more!

You guys are SOOOO great! You've all just made my day. I haven't shown anyone but my family what I've been doing. When I get back from Easter vacation, I'll post a few more things. I'm so glad you liked it because I was pretty proud of myself for getting it done. It has been in my head for a long time. :)

I probably would not have seen this, since you posted this a while ago, but for some reason it was on the home page. This is an absolutely beautiful page. It's real simple, no extra embellishments....but it is still elegant and beautiful. The quote is great......it fits perfectly with the page. I'll have to try something like this one day.

Just realized why your layout was on the homepage, when I went back. You are the member of the month, and they were showcasing your first layout. Congrats!
