It is a life-sized replica of a photograph taken by photographer John Swartz took of Butch Cassidy, far right, the Sundance Kid, far left and 3 of their wild bunch. This iconic imaged helped police capture the robbers when Swartz placed a copy in his lobby. The statue was completed by artist Franco Alessandria in December of 2017, 117 yrs after the photo was taken and only 4 blocks from the location of where the photo was taken.
