Waterfront Memories

This photo is from an album given to my great great grandmother after a visit with her in 1898. The book has witty subtitles but not a single name and is signed Mrs. C.W.B. It helps me remember why I put names and dates on my pages! Thanks for looking. Page uses Silvia Romeo's November Club: New Beginnings

Wow what an awesome photo to have. Too bad there are not names or other useful information. What is that thing she is standing near? I have never seen anything like it.

That photo is amazing and so special, but it's so sad not to have names and know who people are.  My Mom once framed a collage of old photos that she had no idea who the people were, but the photos were so interesting!   I like your framing and soft background and how it looks like this is tied up like a present.   That photo, though is so amazing - I'd love to see a current shot in the same place in Santa Barbara - a world of a difference for sure!

It is a Victorian drinking fountain. It was placed on the sand, so it wasn't plumbed. Mrs. C.W.B.'s journaling, which is on the paper strip, reads "taking a drink of Eggnog on a November day 1898."

Thanks! If I dug a little deeper, I could possibly figure out who she is by the initials. I just didn't have time to dig into my great-great grandmother's papers and photo albums.
