Now, isn't that the truth, they just don't make appliances like they used to and those older ones always work better and longer it seems.   That is oner cool oven and your photo and extraction is great.  I like the print you used and the telephone and your journaling looks great.   So retro is gone?  I have that one, too!

So true, so true. We had a 6-burner gas range, circa 1935 that I think is probably still working somewhere. I love how you put this page together and especially the sketch and retro elements along with that great photo.

This is such a cute layout! That you have a 1940's range in your home is amazing in itself! The whimsy on this is adorable, the retro feel so perfectly done, and the sentiment is so funny but true! Love this!

So cool - love that 1940 something stove! It goes perfect with your sketch & BG paper!! What are all the compartments for - cooking different things at once?

@Amy D The latches on the top lift and slide down the back behind burners and the central door is an oven. The bottom middle is a broiler and the two rectangles on the sides are storage, but there are vents so they were probably used to cook and warm at one time but those spaces are in terrible shape. The little black rectangles built into the back are inset salt and pepper shakers. When we gutted and remodeled our kitchen 18 years ago, we relocated our cooking functions to the basement because this range was down there. Now we just use it for pies at the holidays for the most part. And emergencies for when my main kitchen range misbehaves. With the broken handles, the old range probably isn’t worth it to restore, and there is zero insulation in one of these, but it does have a cool vibe.
