Steven and Sara found a new family-friendly outdoor winter destination: the Ice Palace at Fountain Hill Winery, Delano, Minnesota. Dressed for sledding, the family walked through the palace, pulling Emma (1) in a toddler-size sled. There were lots of things to see. After enjoying the palace and other activities, they warmed up with big cups of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, peppermint candy and sprinkles. Yum! There have been ice palaces in Minnesota before at the St Paul Winter Carnival, held in the second largest city in the state, but those were constructed from ice blocks cut from a lake, built on top one of the city’s lakes. The new ice palace in the nearby rural town of Delano is made from gallons of water frozen into “ice logs” in a patented process. Those logs are placed upright to form the underlying foundation for the palace, then the whole structure is sprayed with water and allow to freeze naturally. The result is spectacular! I want to go visit, too!

Oh, Man.   Your Grand-kids are having lots of fun, just like their Dads did in your layouts, I want to play too!  🤣    Your photos are awesome and the kids are adorable.  I like the achy background you used, this is great!

What super pages. That ice palace must be an amazing destination for winter fun. Love the photos, all the "littles" and the family pic.
