I'm not fond of this cake since I don't like coconut, but I remember my Mom making the real version and this one.
Another from her recipe box, thanks to all for being so kind in comments, I'm loving preserving them this way.
For this recipe card I used:
SNU SS Styles: Shadow Me
BMU Shabby Bakery Collection Biggie
and my photo of my Mom's recipe card

Oh, my! This is a decadent treat! Got all my favs - chocolate, coconut and pecans! Love your card - nothing says serious treats are coming out of the kitchen than putting on an apron!  And yes, chocolate is medicinal!!!

This is really pretty - and German Chocolate Cake is one of my favorites so this will be a must try! I love how you made this one and the last one so cohesively with the same colors. Very vintage and that photo of the actual care is touchable. You've done a really great job with these.

German Chocolate Cake is a big favorite with my husband and father-in-law, so I might have to try this for them. I used an old fashioned boiled recipe as well. It just tastes better, I think. I really like the vintage look to your card, fitting "mom's recipe." Great quote as well.

Chocolate does cure all!  Lovely card, Marilyn.  I like the neutral colors.  The apron is the perfect perfect embellishment along with the cookie cutter and spoon.
