Lady Liberty
Here's another one from our trip to NYC.
Journaling:
What an unbelievable sight. France
gave the United States this statue in
1886 as a symbol of friendship. This
was often the first sight immigrants
saw as they came to this country from
Europe. Seeing the statue in 2007 is
still an unreal experience. To think of
all that the Statue represents; it’s
truly a symbol of liberty and
America. Although we didn’t have
time to go to the Statue, just passing
by on the Ferry was a huge thrill.
