This LO is totally lifted from this month's BasicGrey ad which can be found in several current scrapbook magazines. Page Kit is by Marcee Duggar on another site.
Program: Microsoft Digital Image
Technique: Paper Cutout Houses.
1. Make a new page and insert your background paper.
2. Insert a large long rectangle shape. Insert a triangle shape. Place the triangle above the rectangle with a little space between.
3. Link the two shapes together and fill with a funky paper. This will become the "inside" of the house.
4. Duplicate the triangle/rectangle shape and place the duplicated image layered on top of the first image.
5. Fill the top image with a white paper.
6. On your top image, cut out the window panes. Add a nice deep, heavily softened drop down shadow. This will give much depth between the "outside" of the house and the "inside" of the house.
7. At this stage, you can make two more duplicates of what you've already done (or however many houses you need).
8. Start making your own irregular shapes to fill in on the house. In Microsoft Digital Image, for example, under "INSERT", there is the option to make your own shape. If your software program does not allow you to make your own shape, then add squares and rectangles which you can then skew or distort.
9. Fill each shape with a cool, funky paper and add a very fine, but dark drop down shadow to each shape. These top shapes should appear to be very close to the white paper behind them. To save time, put all the shapes in place, link them together, and then add the shadow to all in one step.
