Newborn baby

The summer between 6th and 7th grades, I decided that I was going to make my own baby book (my mom just collected things and put them in a box for each child). I had a wonderful time, using florecent paper (not acid free), markers, stickers, and decorative scissors. I used original photos, and cut them into all sorts of shapes. Looking at it now, it is awful! I try not to go back and redo LOs, but the paper and the photos are already starting to deteriorate. So, I have scanned them all in and am fixing the photos and redoing the pages. Here's the first.

I used:

MST Life Journals

MRE Lifted Photos 1

MRE Lifted Photos 2

TCS Pretty Primavera

JHI Curled Edges

JHI Curled Edges Shadows

KSC Fancy Brushes 2

Journaling (a quote from my mother's journal):

October 4, 1981

Lots of changes. We have our little Anna, born September 12th. We all love her to pieces. I have to constantly referee to determine who gets to hold her. She arived without too much trouble.

Pictures taken in the fall of 1981, Santa Clara Utah.

Anna, this is beautiful. I love everything about it. My mother let me do my own scrapbooks and photo albums too. Fortunately she gave me a bag of black lick and stick photo corners and a paper album. They didn't all stick too well, but no damage. But my scrapbook, I pasted everything in. Thank heavens for a scanner. You've done a spectacular job with this!

Wow Anna!!! This is absolutely beautiful! Your choice of color, elements and placement make this perfect. Your mothers journaling makes it extra special. You should be very proud of this. Love it!!!

Oh goodness... I bet you had a blast making that first album, but it sure makes you cringe now, doesn't it? I really love this first page. It's great, especially those pictures and your journaling. I can't wait to see more.

Anna, I had to come find this LO after seeing it in the Sat NL. It is TREMENDOUS! I love absolutely everything about it. The ribbons on the binding are a super nice touch - I never would have thought of that. I have marked this as a "fave" of mine.. I may have to scraplift it later (and give you credit of course). I think you should submit it for publication.. ;)

Wow, Anna, this is stunning. I especially love the tied ribbons on the spiral of the book, and the way you've layered the photos and embellishments. Just gorgeous!
