I had fun doing this LO. Most everything from paper to embellishments to brush is original. One exception--I used the paper edging from Valerie Randall's ebook How To Combine Scrap Simple Paper and Photo Templates. I used the Making Shaped Brushes tutorial video from Scrapbook Software Secrets Revealed for PSE 4 to make my snowflake brush. The rest came from my imagination and features in PSE 5. I got a real kick out of doing something 'from scratch' since nothing I owned was the right color, season, etc. Thanks to the SG staff for making such easy to understand tutorials and lessons!
Journaling reads:
It was a simple enough request--
enough snow to play in for once.
No flurries for Tom.
He wanted the big snowstorm.
We awoke to radio reports of school
closings. A snow day!
When light dawned we discovered
the beauty of the wind-swirled
snow across the fields
...and an impassible driveway.
So now Tom stands in the middle of
the vast snowiness pondering these
profound questions:
How could eight inches of snow
across the county equal
three inches of snow our fields
and three FEET of snow in our drive?
Will I have the strength to go sledding
after all this shoveling?
How many days until spring?
