I have been searching for just the right way to scrap these pictures from my mother's album. It really DOES snow in the desert!

Journaling reads:
My mother was about 12 years old when these pictures were made in the late 1940’s in Palm Springs, California. Palm Springs is surrounded by mountains on three sides - The San Jacinto Mountains (on the background), the San Bernardino Mountains and the Palm Springs Mountains - so it was common to see snow caps in the winter, but this was one of the few times it actually snowed in the desert and it was an amazing sight. People here just are NOT accustomed to driving on icy, snowy streets, and the roads quickly became hazardous. Still it was a magical, winter wonderland.
