Canoe Launch

My DH Max took our youngest DS (13 yo John) on his week-long canoe trip this past June. I had started digi-scrapping by then so when they came home DH asked me to scrap their trip. The each kept a journal and he wanted all of that journal included with the photos. This is page 1.

Their journaling reads:

Wed., June 6--Around 10:30 we put in

in a tiny ditch about 5-6 feet across

covered in seaweed. For about the

next two miles we went through this

stuff and then we hit some lily pads.

Only around noon did things clear

up and things got big enough for

a small road. ~John

We started out in a seaweed-

covered ditch on Hathaway Rd.

between Hand and Johnson Rds.

about 4 miles north of where I

work. Aerial pictures on the

Internet showed it ot be the origin

of the Eel River. The ditch was

only about 6-8 ft. wide at the

start, and the seaweed was thick

and heavy--hard going. ~Max

credits in meta--except I forgot to say that the tag is KSC Serenity

For the title I did a clipping mask (?--the ctrl-G thingy...) with AMC Water paper--Aqua River--gave it a little glow, bevel and shadow...
