Well this is my first digi LO. I have done paper scrapbooking, but this is a whole new world. I need any suggestions and CC that I can get. I will not get my feelings hurt because I am here to learn. I want as much help as you all can give.

Journaling reads:

No matter what you are wearing

you always seem to put it on

backwards! It is something

Daddy and I have come to expect

from you on a daily basis.

What a fun LO - I like the backwards "B!" The only small suggestion I might make would be about the size of your drop shadows. I don't know which software you're using, but is it one where you can alter the size/color/opacity of the shadow? I use PSE 5, and I always find the preset shadows too big and too dark, so things look "floaty," to use a technical term.

I think it looks great... the shadows, if you just give a little more opacity they would look great!!

Thanks so much for sharing! cant wait to see more of your layouts!

I think this is a nice first LO, great pictures and journaling. Love the title, the only thing I would change is to make the picture of you DD on the floor larger and rotate it a bit to the left, then tuck the corner under your blue border and if large enough tuck it under the other photo. The angle of the photo and scale will really lead your eye into the page.

Very cute little one! :)

Cute layout - and great first digi-layout! The drop shadows (that others mentioned) would be the only thing I would suggest. Make then smaller and not as dark and they will look more natural . . . Great job!

Adorable! Love the backwards B. As others have mentioned. Try reducing the opacity and size of your shadows (if your software allows). This will make them more realistic so that it looks like layered paper rather than elements floating. I also like Trish's idea of rotating the large photo a bit.

BTW, I think your daughter and my son learned to get dressed using the same instruction manual. Every morning I help him get dressed so everything is on right. When I pick him up from camp in the afternoon, shorts are backwards, shirt is inside-out and backwards, underwear is backwards, socks are inside-out. He dresses himself after swim! LOL! :D

This is awesome for a first LO! Great job! I know with PSE4 the drop shadows don't let you change the colors or the opacity but I think you can in PSE5. I don't know what program you are using but if it lower than PSE5 you might want to get Ro's drop shadows. Here's one, there are a few others too.

Awesome job for a first digital LO! I love it. I agree with the suggestions about the shadows and about tilting the larger photo a little. It gives it a little more dynamic to do that and since your background is a vertical stripe, it helps break up the layout a little - besides the advantage of leading the eye as suggested earlier. TFS your LO with us.
