Layout created using the colors for the "9/8/2007 Color Challenge".

Paper, Embellishments - "Pretty Primavera Collection Biggie" by Thao Cosgrove

"Lace Brush Set" by Erica Hite

"Inked Edges 4104" and "Grunged Metals 4106" by Cheryl Barber

"Inked Edges 1801" by Mandy Steward

Font - Myriad Pro

The "pleated paper" background was created using a slight variation on the technique described by Sharon Reus on page 102 of the October/November 2007 issue "Digital Scrapbooking". I quickly discovered that with patterned paper you couldn't just trim the right edge of the paper in increments. You need to slide the lower layers to the left under the upper layers before trimming the right edge in order for the pattern to look as if it is folding under and then appearing out of folds. Two 12-inch widths are required to make one 12-inch pleated background.

Oooh, Love that pleated paper technique! All of those tucked in items look so neat! Also adore the colors and photo you chose.

Great layout. I love your paper pleating technique- it looks "spiffy." (I'm in a weird mood today, apparently.) I like that your LO is educational, but beautiful.

This is beautiful. Once again love the pleated paper technique. Your elements all blend very well and you've tucked them very well also. Looks great.
