Art Inspired Challenge "In Memory"

This layout is from a recent art inspired challenge. My Great Uncle was the closest thing I ever had to a Grandparent since I never knew any of them.
When I saw the inspiration artwork, it immediately reminded me of my Great Uncle who just passed away last month. He was greatly inspired by 2 artists, Van Gogh and Mark Rothko and was a very talented artist himself. In our hometown he was commissioned to do a huge bronze sculpture called the "learning tree" outside the new librbary. I had been meaning to do a page in memory of him. So this was just perfect, though I don't know if I will ever feel as if it finished or ever do him justice.
