Walks to Remember

My dd & I have been taking walks together (with our doggie) for the last couple of months almost nightly. I cherish these walks together, so decided to make a LO. Here's the journalling:

Kindra & I started taking a walk with Zoie on the bike path nearly every night this summer. It’s been a wonderful time to just chat about everything and nothing. Most significantly, we’re connecting, which feels even more important than ever since she’ll be going to college next year. We have our little jokes between us - like how the ducks from the pond “laugh” at us & how we must touch the light by the library to be considered a proper walk. I’m going to miss our walks & talks when it gets cold & even more next year when Kin is gone at college.

What a great way to remember this special time you had with your daughter. I always love it when you can blend a photo into the background and then echo it in individual photos in the layout. Just so special. Of course, your journaling tells the whole story. Thanks so much for sharing this special time you shared with this lovely layout.

Mindy - you did a beautiful job on this. Love your journaling - you will really treasure these moments forever - as will your daughter. It sounds like you both already know that. TFS!

This is totally awesome Mindy. I love the blending and your journaling is outstanding. How lucky you are to have that time to connect with your teenager.

What a great memory to scrap. And I can imagine the fun things you will have talked about. This is a really nice looking LO. Isn't the blending technique just so cool. You have used it really well in this.

These are the moments that make mothers and daughters best friends for life. You've inspired me to go out for a special walk with my DD tomorrow!

Love how you did the large faded photo, great job of evoking the emotion you convey in your journalling.
