I did this LO thinking of my Dad. He is doing poorly in a nursing home and this is the last picture I have of him standing. We are praying for his mercy so he doesn't suffer. In God's eyes, this is all part of the plan for Dad's life.

I forgot some of the things in the meta data that are in my LO. Here is the complete list below.

ABR_intuition collection

MRE_SSAlpha_AntiqueRose

LCO_Grunge Brushes

LCO_Edging Brushes

I'm "brushing up" for the brush class so I tried a few new things with brushes on this LO.

EDIT: I updated my journaling to have a greater impact on my LO thanks to a suggestion from justpattyanne. Thanks!

EDIT # 2: Journaling reads:

"This picture is special to me because it is the last picture I have of Dad standing. Dad is in a nursing home now, declining rapidly. He is waiting for God to call for him, his life spent knowing Christ. His thoughts now are trapped deep inside him. Mom's very strong, by his side every day. Their dialogue mostly gone now but Mom understands the power of just sitting, holding his hand"

I saved this wrong when I edited for additional journaling. One day I will get back in there and make it a little easier to read!

I saved my 300 dpi into a 72 dpi when I went to upload it, and made my journaling edits on the 72!!! Oh No! When I decide to tackle it again, I will make it a little easier somehow. Open to CC on how to do that!!

Your layout brought a lump to my throat, its really beautiful. I hope you find peace and strength to get you through this difficult time. I also hope that this layout will bring a smile to your face in the years to come as you remember him proud and happy as he is in this photo and not ill in the nursing home. I don't know him, but I am sure that is what he would want. All the best. Gill

In the gallery... it was the sweet inspiration of this still in love after 57 years of marriage couple.

But then I read your comments - tragically beautiful. So touching. (I think you should combine more of your comments on your layout - they convey so much more.)

My hat is off to you for scrapping this emotional feeling. Sometimes life is so beautiful it hurts, just like this.

Amy,

What a beautiful page for you and your family to share! I'm sure it wasn't an easy one to create and that when you uploaded it here, it felt like your heart was lodged in your throat. I just know it will be a page that is cherished and looked at over and over and over again.

Thank you so much for sharing it with us here. God bless you and yours.
