I chose this lo ffor this contest because even though it was surely NOT a fun thing to do, it is exactly what I did and played a major part in my vacation, considering I was forced to limp around for most of my vacation.
The Journaling Reads:
"Visit To Dr. To Have Wood Removed? Notes: First came shots to numb my foot. Dan layed over my legs so I wouldn't, well, more like couldn't move because I knew that if he didn't I might kick the Dr. I am horrified of NEEDLES! Getting me to agree to shots of any kind or even to get me to have bloodwork drawn is simply stated... A Miracle! Oh, how I cried like a baby every time the Dr. would go to move the needle around in to a different position. The Dr. was pretty amazed when he found out that there was no infection and a tad bit upset that I waited for over 12 days to even have my foot checked out by a Dr. I know now how silly it really was to wait so long to go see a Dr. and have it looked at. When the Dr. cut into my foot and then slowly pulled out the chunk of wood from Priscilla and Alex's pool deck, we were all 3 shocked at how big the chunk of wood really was. The Dr. put it in a glass vial and told me to take it home and show the children and to make sure they knew that when they get something in their foot for them to not wait to tell someone and to not wait like I did to see a Dr."
I changed this to use Mandy Stewards Fresh Alpha from the boutique here at ScrapGirls.
The fonts I used were: LD Shots & Copperplate Gothic Bold. I downloaded the free page for this lo from Cottage Arts.
The sticker is what the Dr. promised to give me if I didn't kick him as he was trying to make me laugh, so of course I scanned it into PSP. The vials I took photographs of and then edited to my own liking in paintshop pro. The piece of wood that is inside of the vials is actually what was stuck in my foot. The bandage I scanned in to PSP because it is one of the ones the Dr. gave me to keep my foot covered because he had to cut it open to get the wood out. Then of course, the photograph is of something I always said I wouldn't photograph, MY OWN FOOT!
