i love this...the way you blended the backrounds and the menorah . the photos are great and you have a great glow from the chanukah lights on the girls faces. what do you mean the supplies are in the details? i am new around here and trying to figure it all out.... also how did you make the blended edges.

cant wait to see the other 7 days.

Sorry, I forgot to save my META data in photoshop. That is where the details come from. If you click on the details button you should see a list of my supplies. Also here is a thread that explains about META Data

that thread is for PSE3 but I think it pretty much works the same for all photoshop programs.

For the menorah, I extracted it out of the background the best I could and then cleaned it up with kind of a grungy eraser, then I reduced the opacity so it blended in to the background just a bit better. It just takes alot of playing, I also blended two background papers to get the color I wanted with the green and gold edges. PM me if I can help you with anything else! Thanks for your sweet comment!

Wow - this caught my eye in the gallery. It is beautiful, Launa. At first, I thought the big menorah was an emb from the collection, but then I realized that it was *yours*! You did a great job blending the papers and the menorah - it makes it have an etherial kind of quality to it. The brushwork (or is it an overlay? - I can't remember what I read in the metadata now!) adds to that same feeling. And those photos of your kids are so darling.

Wow! I'm new to scrapbooking, so I don't really have any professional comments -- all I know is that this LO really grabbed my attention! It looks stunning. The exposure on the candles is perfect to create that warm soft glow, and your color scheme blends in perfectly.

Brushes are an area I have difficulty getting a feel for in my layouts. I never seem to know what shape to use, where to put them, or how many is too many. On this LO, though, every brushstroke looks like it belongs there, encouraging the eyes to wander about the page and soak in all the little details. Great job!
