a river runs through it

This was the final LO that I had done this last year. I titled it that way because originally I showed my first attempt to my dear friend Melissa (LissaD-for those of you here) and I had the torn page covering part of the river so that it "had nowhere to go." After she kindly pointed this out (I had been oblivious before that) I had to try and figure out a way to keep the green enough for the scripture I wanted (windsong font) The page is from Melissa Renfro too. I was very pleased with the final LO- as the river has a place to go-it just "flows" off the page. I tease Melissa about this-she is the expert and not much ruffles her feathers (I know this because we were roommates way back in college and have been sweet friends since then!) The young lady that I made this for loved it as much as I did. BTW- Melissa's husband Lance took the photo during their visit to Breckenrige, CO. What a beautiful state!

I didn't this when the river had no place to go, but the torn edges following the contour of the river is what drew my eye into this layout. Love it!

Julie, thank you! Sometimes I am not sure whether things look too simple or symmetrical (lol) it is the "perfectionist" side of me. But I was very pleased with this LO. It will be fun to look back and possibly do a "re-do" or some sort, but for now I love it just as it is.
