This was a hard one for me, I did not have any photos that documented this time in our lives . . . I was a bit busy. I think this is my first LO without a picture. It feels a bit weird. I am not sure I would have even put this in an album if it weren't for this challenge, so I am grateful for the idea.
the journaling :
I learned to have faith
When times get tough . . . .Life isn’t always easy and it isn’t always fun. . .
but the tough get going and God will help those who help themselves. Tim and I hit
a tough patch this past year when Tim lost his job. We went a little over four months living
on prayers and faith that God will provide. We were scared and a little lost, as we are new
Christians. Neither of us were raised in Christian homes or environments and only a year or two
ago had we pursued our walk with Jesus. We had just moved to this new and very rural area for his position
and planned for me to not have to work Work is scarce around here and things did not look good. This was our
dream place to live and raise our children, we didn’t want to move again . . . especially back to the city. We
just didn’t know what to do, so we prayed. I got a job the only real restaurant in the town and worked nearly
12 hours a day 5 days a week and kept a part time job adding at least 12 more hours a week. It was hard
being away from the kids and Tim so much, but I did this for a little more than four months and I was thankful
that I had the opportunity to earn enough to make it through. It wasn’t always easy and not real fun, but God
did provide. I embraced His gift and thanked Him daily. Our church family, of which we were very new members,
circled us in love and prayers, anonymous gifts were received that helped tremendously, our family helped as well
, and the ranch where I work part time gave us a ¼ beef for only the processing costs, again, a gentle reminder that
God will provide. We could pay the bills and we had enough to eat. Tim spent many hours with our girls, bonding with
them in a special way because he was home all the time. A blessing, I would say. Girls need their Daddies. There
are reasons for things that happen that only He knows. Blessings are abundant, even in tough times, if only you
take the time to recognize them. We learn to recognize them, and learned we are truly blessed. After four really
tough months he got a job allowing us to stay in this lovely town, with our new church family that we love and the
small rural community that we want to live in. We learned a lot in those four months, we learned that we are
survivors and we can make it through tough times, we learned that family is not always just those you are
related to, we learned that blessings are hidden in the not-so-good times and mostly we learned to trust
God, for He will provide

I played around with cropping out some of the crosses and feathering them out and replacing them on the LO as little accents.
