This ATC pre-dates the hippy era by a bit. It's a tribute to Mike Smith, lead singer of the Dave Clark Five, an English band who rivalled the Beatles in popularity. Mike died three days ago of complications from a spinal cord injury he sustained in 2003.

Very nice - I love the DC5 as well. Did you see them on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony? Tom Hanks did a great job of inducting them! I've been waiting and waiting to get some of their hits digitally to add to my iTunes library - they are finally available in the iTunes store. I want to wait until I can actually buy their CD, it should be out soon. Their music just makes me happy. Mike Smith was my favorite - but I didn't even know he was injured until after he died. So sad.
