I use PSP XI

This layout was totally serendipity. I wasn't intending to do a layout with what I was doing.

I have been trying to learn how to do one or two more things each week with the lessons in the newsletters and in the scrapgirls university and with the instructions that come with my purchases-- like Ro's Scrapbook Secrets Revealed for PSP X.

Several people had written in newsletters about how wonderful brushes were, but I had no idea how to use the ones I had.

After reading in scrapgirls about how to use brushes, I decided to try. I was playing around with them on a colored background I made with a color that just happened to be in my color palette.

I played around with different colors for the brushes that were already in my PSP program. Then I tried using one of the scrapgirls flower brushes.

I just clicked around randomly on the paper. When I went to delete the practice, I looked at it and thought-- "That paper is FUN!"

I looked for the perfect picture of one of my granddaughters to put on the paper. She IS a HIP CHICK!

Items I used:

Brushes:

LCO Refresh flower brush

PSP XI Brushes

Frame: SNU Summergirl 12x12 Citrus paper cropped.

Arrow: AMC Pride N Joy

Font: Folio (I used a texture for the internal color. I also was trying out Ro's PSP quicktime lesson about putting text on a curve). I am so glad I bought that program!

Brittany's name is written with my own handwriting in a font I made at fontifier

(now I can journal with my own handwriting by typing it.)

Great job with the brushes! Isn't it funny how we can just be playing with our program and end up with such wonderful things!

How cool is this!?! Great job with the brush work and the colors are wonderful! My favorites, actually! Your grandaughter will absolutely love this. I've thought about using fontifier too, but my handwriting is so messy, I figured it was best to use something else! But yours is nice and neat, and looks great!

You don't know how many times I practiced to get my handwriting to be even semi nice in fontifier! :mad-at-computer:

At least they let you view the font before you buy it. My writing is not very good and it isn't very even, but my children want journaling in my handwriting, so this works for the times I want to use my own handwriting. I am making 6 scrapbooks with the same pages for my grandchildren-- I am SO glad I found out about digital scrapbooking!
